The President’s Council on Physical Fitness and Sports recently launched a fitness test for those over the age of 18.

The President’s Council on Physical Fitness and Sports recently launched a fitness test for those over the age of 18 at adultfitnesstest.org. Components include a run or walk to estimate your level of aerobic fitness; half sit-ups and push-ups to gauge muscular strength and endurance; and the Sit and Reach test for flexibility. The resulting FITT (Frequency, Intensity, Time, and Type of activities) score evaluates and provides ways to improve fitness.

Experts say at age 60 a man should be able to do 17 pushups; 6 for a woman.
