My daughter wears red in her office every friday. She has a brother and a Dad who has been affected by heart problems. Heart problems can affect young and old which we have found out in our family. The new procedures that keep coming up every year is remarkable. The American Heart Association has done great on letting everyone know about new procedues and research. Let's pray that they all keep up the good work.

I will wear red for my grandfathers both of whom had triple-by-pass open heart surgeries and lived active lives afterward one who is still here and the other who died suddenly of a stroke last year. I raise money for the American Heart Association each year at our community's Heart Walk and I find that when you ask someone if they have a friend or family member who has been affected by heart disease in some way EVERYONE has someone close to them who has been affected. More research on prevention and cures and more education on symptoms and what to do if someone has a heart attack are some of the important goals of the American Heart Association. I’ll be wearing my red tomorrow! Way to spread the word Heather! Thanks!
