Am embarrassed I butchered the word "dictates" in my earlier comment.
Forgive the decline of a weary old man.

If only we had more Americans like Howard Henry. A dying breeed --and I am deeply saddened to have to say --in a dying Republic.
Our governance has degenerated to enforcing the cleverly conditioned, largely greedy deictates of the mob--which is precisely why our Forefathers chose not to give us a democracy. Clearly, the distinction between republic and democracy is far more than mere semantics. It is the difference between clearly defined law and whim.
Howard Henry did not do the popular or comfortable thing; he stood up for freedom. He took that stand, alone--much like any one of our brave Forefathers would have done. And make no mistake, when it comes to freedom, there are no small matters.

There's only a little over a million parking meters in the U.S. Maybe there are 5 million parking spaces that require some sort of payment. Unfortunately, the Luttrell website hasn't been updated in almost a decade, but there were never 5 million parking meters in the U.S.
