But there are many many other errors than just Tesla. For instance:
1) Airplane was created earlier than Wrigt brothers - both in France and Germany
2) Computers were invented in Germany
3) Intrnet was CERN invention
This article is very far from truth. Some would say that what Edison did was in fact stealing from original inventors.
The title should be rather Inventions that Americans belive changed World.

He mentions Tesla twice in the article, Friedlander. And if it wasn't for Edison being a genius, there would have been no Edison laboratories or Edison employees. It's silly to bash one of the great inventors of all time because one of his workers had a breakthrough. That's like saying John Wooden wasn't a great coach because his players were winning.

The otherwise very excellent article neglected to challenge readers to work at further advancements.

Benjamin Franklin was successful in establishing the properties of lightening. He was not successful in his significant efforts to get a Simple English Spelling System adopted. If he were with us now, in the digital age, when a Simple Spelling System can be introduced, without requiring anyone to learn to read all over again, adoptiion of a Simple Spelling System would be among his top priorities.

We are plagued by the large number of functionally illiterate people dropping out of school and getting diplomas without learning to read with understanding. A Simple Spelling System will make learning to read and write much easier and we will end up with much better educated citizens and neighbors.

With a Simple Spelling System our children and grandchildren will learn to read in the first grade, as do children in Italy and Spain.and other countries with simple spelling systems. The cost of educating our children will drop substantially, to the advantage of all taxpayers.

Benjamin Franklin is not here but the Saturday Evening Post is and it is an ideal vehicle for picking up the torch that Franklin carried.

It was the inventions of Nicola Tesla on which our modern world has been based, he was the first to create radio, AC power plants, remote control, many other technologies that you have credited to others.
Edison did not invent the incandescent light bulb, it was in fact one of his employees who invented the first filament. It was Edison who took the credit for something that he did not create. It was Tesla who created fluorescent lighting long before Edison took credit for the incandescent bulb.
If you will mention innovations that changed our world, perhaps you would take the time to mention the names that are truly responsible for these innovations, and base your articles on verifiable facts instead of imagination.
