Eye-opening article. Close friends spoke of how their now deceased Dachshund use to require emergency care after she’d avail herself of chocolates left within her reach. She loved them so much she’d even find ways to get to them when they were supposedly out of reach, like on the dining room table. Clever dog, she’d maneuver her way onto the chair positioned under the table. From there, she’d somehow proceed to get up on top of the table. She’d be found later, “sick as a dog.” Couldn’t resist the pun. Will pass your information along to my friends. They adopted another dachshund.
