Alan Moorehead (July 22, 1910 — September 29, 1983) was a famous war correspondent during the second World War before becoming a widely respected historian. We offer this article, which depicts the nature of desert warfare, to commemorate Moorehead’s 100th anniversary birthday this Thursday.
