I sold this magazine during the great depression in Portsmouth, Virginia.(80 years ago) I carried the Saturday Evening Post and Liberty magazines in a canvas bag slung over my shoulder. I was so small, I believe the bag drug on the ground. I cannot believe it was so hard to get a nickle from people in those times. I guess I got to keep a penny for each magazine I sold.
