He was always so funny. But that night I saw the caring side of him. His wife tripped on something on the stage and he was really concerned for her welfare. It was really nice to see his family side.

And give the soldier lines to make
A bit of fun out of a fate
That fell upon for freedom’s sake.

The soldier closed with one last grin,
Then death took over life within.

Just to realize he entertained the troops from Word War II through the Gulf War is incredible, and of course all of his movies and TV Specials. Wonderful man.
