John, I’ve seen that your Grandmother, Vivian ‘Madge’ Elgin is the 2nd child (Vera’s the first) born from William Elgin and Effa Cumberledge Elgin. William’s younger sister’s Maude Mary Elgin Armstrong is my mom’s grandmother. My mom remembers, Vera and Madge. I haven’t seen that Vera was ‘the most kissable’, yet!
Great cover art. Just looked up history of someone from my home town! The Countess Vera Elgin Martin de Mueller.
Vera Elgin was my Grandmas sister Vivian Madge Elgin. Vera was voted “The Most Kissable” back in the 30’s. Grandma Madge died living almost 105 yrs.
The woman on the cover is my Grandma’s sister. Her name was Vivian Madge Elgin and she lived to be almost 105 yrs of age.
The model is Vera Elgin Martin de Mueller from New York City and was raised in Centerville, IA
The blond woman (holding the brown dog) is Countess Vera Martin de Mueller. This is stated by the former Elgin family in Centerville, IA. I am a third cousin of Vera and was asking how I could purchase the cover or magazine.
Thank You!
Greg Thompson
