The F word is bandied about -
Fascism, from Latin for bunch
Of same sticks sticking tight throughout,
Tied round an axe for extra punch.
Fascists in the U.S. of A.
Want a return to way back when
'Twas like the Founding Fathers' day,
A nation run by all WASP men.
Ah, those good ol' days- white and pure.
But over time outsiders came.
WASP men are losing hold for sure.
It's all this freedom that's to blame.

Bunches of same sticks, be assured,
Are still sticking to this F word.

Unfortunately, I agree with Gary Yantis. Never in my life have I seen the media refuse to challenge the policies of a sitting president. Common sense should dictate that we cannot continue to raise the debt ceiling, but we continue to do so anyway. How can we ignore the lessons of Greece, Italy, and Portugal and continue spending money that we don't have. I remember vividly the pictures of German citizens pushing wheel barrels of money with little or no value. What does it take to understand that history is the greatest lesson to mankind? Yet the vast majority of the media ignore this fact.

The Post usually writes about the past and sometimes the present. I'm very concerned what is being described is the probable future. Not exactly but close. An authoritarian fascist martial law total control police state government that has no limits and no control by American citizens. We have slowly given up our personal rights and freedoms by inattention and forgetting "The price of freedom is eternal vigilance" (Thomas Jefferson). If we want to save the America we grew up in we have no time to waste.

In my opinion we have probably already passed the point of no return and the only decisions left are such things as who will wield dictatorial powers and will we have any rights at all? Today we are at the equivalent of Germany in 1939. Does anyone care? By the media's attention to trivial news of no importance and the people's lack of caring about any future beyond the next sports game of their choice it seems we'll not begin to care until long after it is too late.
