A Look at the Post’s Occasional Lapses in Judgment

We’re sure this comment was well intended at the time—and one has to give allowances for the fact that the writer was a top-ranked woman pro golfer herself. Women were a rarity on the links in 1973, but today 25 percent of U.S. golfers are women.
We’d be hard-pressed to describe the benefits of golfing in terms of attire and small muscles, however.

Well you DID say that, and it’s OKAY! I think both sexes reading this should and will realize that it’s a quaint remark from not long after mid-century. 1973 is almost 40 years ago, and I’m sure in that same future time span (2051) there will be much more to question and ponder about comments made in 2012. In fact I’m positive.
