Arthur M. Schlesinger Jr. (1917 – 2007) was a historian and writer. He served as special assistant to President Kennedy from 1961 to 1963. His account of Kennedy's time in office, A Thousand Days: John F. Kennedy in the White House, won a Pulitzer Prize. He also wrote a biography of Robert F. Kennedy, Robert Kennedy and His Times.
