Ilene Raymond Rush is a health and science journalist whose fiction has appeared in a wide variety of publications, including Philadelphia Stories, Good Housekeeping, First for Women, Phoebe, Ladies Home Journal, and others. Her short story “Taking a Chance on Jack” received an O. Henry Prize. “Lily’s Lover” is part of a collection-in-progress entitled The Worm of the Heart. She lives outside of Philadelphia with her husband and mini-schnauzer, Noodle.
