Companies are offering perks to ease future medical costs and promote wellness among employees.
Worker health incentive plan
• Employees take part in a health risk assessment, where they receive tests and give a detailed account of their health habits and history.
• Based on the information, workers may be put on a program to better health, which would include regular screening and consulting with a health professional.
• Incentives vary depending on the employer, from gift certificates to money toward a health care savings account to discounts on insurance premiums.
• Employees aren't required to produce results in order to keep the cash.
