Dear Dr. SerVaas: I am writing to perhaps help that woman in Flowery Branch, Georgia, who has a bad case of dandruff after chemo treatment. I had the same problem.
Like her, I tried all shampoos. My daughter bought Head & Shoulders Intensive Care (pink in color) for my wife. I tried Head & Shoulders before and it did not work, but this shampoo is different. I got rid of the dandruff after the first treatment about two months ago. Use petroleum jelly after the shampoo.

Dear Dr. SerVaas: Mazie H. Kilgore wrote about what might work for persistent dandruff. I have been following the advice I read in a magazine that works wonders: Simply add 2 teaspoons of white vinegar to 2 cups of warm water. Massage briskly into hair and scalp for 20-60 seconds, then shampoo and rinse normally. Hope this helps.
