Dear Dr. SerVaas: I hope this idea will help Mr. Henry's dry hands. I order a lotion from the TriVita company. They have a line of products they call "Pure." I call this lotion my miracle lotion. I have trouble with my lower lip peeling in the winter. Nothing I had tried helped too much. One night I decided to dab a little of this lotion on my lip. Bingo, it worked great.I also monitored the humidity in my bedroom during the cold winter months here in Kentucky. Keeping the humidity at the comfort level is very important.

Dear Dr. SerVaas: Tell John Henry to get No-Crack hand creme from the Dumont Company, La Crosse, Wisconsin. This is absolutely the best ever to prevent those cracks I get every winter on my thumbs.

Dear Dr. SerVaas: In the Jan./Feb. issue of the Post, John Henry wrote he has tried every cream known for cracked skin. I had the same problem and recovered by using petroleum Jelly and putting my hands in disposable gloves at night. I hope this works for him, too.

Dear Readers: A dermatologist told me that she uses Aquaphor after much scrubbing for surgery. I have never been without it from that day forward. It isn't sticky and can be used during the day.
