“I Can See You!”
This cute cartoon from 2003 gives one reason why a glass-topped table is not a good idea.
“Babysitter Feeding… Baby?”
Feeding the baby doesn’t mean you have to miss your soaps. Unfortunately, the kid is missing his lunch. All food is dog food.
“What, no pipe and slippers?” “You’re retired. I’m retired.”
Okay, cats aren’t the only pets with attitude.
“You know, it’s about time you realize who’s boss around here!” “Your wife?”
Fido knows. The wife. We told you dogs never miss a thing. This cartoon appeared in the magazine in 2000.
“Would you please tell us which room Mr. Markus is in?”
Admit it, this one makes you go, “awww!” Ever faithful, these dogs are bringing the master’s slippers even to the hospital (unlike the “retired” dog above).
“Like me? Are you kidding? They collect my poop!”
And we thought cats felt like they were gods.
“Looks like old Ned finally caught one of those cars he’s been chasing.”
You always wondered what that dumb mutt would do if he caught one of those cars. Now you know. Old Ned wasn’t so dumb after all! But I do kind of wish he’d bring me a sports car next time. I reached back to the Jan/Feb 1999 issue of The Post for this one.
“You have just one more wish. Are you sure you want another belly-rub?”
Three wishes. Three belly-rubs. Like there’s any more to life?
