Carson Vaughan is a native Nebraskan and freelance writer with published features in Salon, Variety, The Hollywood Reporter, Orion, Truthout, CMJ, the Omaha World Herald, the Lincoln Journal Star, the Wilmington Star News, and other publications.

He currently serves as the nonfiction editor of Ecotone at the University of North Carolina-Wilmington.
