William Burton McCormick William Burton McCormick’s stories have appeared in Ellery Queen Mystery Magazine, Alfred Hitchcock’s Mystery Magazine, Sherlock Holmes Mystery Magazine, and others. He is a three-time Derringer Award Finalist for the year’s best mystery short fiction and was elected a Hawthornden Writing Fellow in Scotland in 2013. William has lived in Ukraine, Russia, Latvia, and Estonia and his writing often deals frankly with the histories and politics of those countries.
