  1. Smoking was definitely one of the worst aspects of mid-century, without question. Much as I hate it, ya gotta love (in the top ‘toon) how Dad nonchalantly uses the empty train car as his ashtray. In #3 down, they had to have a special smoke remover put in the living room for Bill to smoke away. All 8 ashtrays in #6 down are totally filled with butts!
