In this new digital world, you carry access to a world of stories told in movies, TV series, and videogames in the palm of your hand. But in our opinion, none of these are as intimate, mind-expanding, and meaningful as sitting down with a good book. As Joseph Addison said, “Reading is to the mind what exercise is to the body.”

  1. I read 96 book in 2025. My average is between 90 and 100 books every year consistently.
Friends ask me, “How do you read that many in a year??”
And, I tell them that we don’t watch television. When we are at the end of our day, we read until bedtime. So we can easily read 100 pages on an evening.
I have been a reader since I was 6 years old. My grandmother said I was reading at age 5.
I get so much pleasure out of reading. And there is so much to learn!

  2. I have ordered “1929” on The Crash and a gorgeous coffee table book on the craft of car advertising as the year draws to a close. The latter should also be considered a book read, I hope.

  3. As we near the end of the year, I recently ordered ‘1929’ on The Crash, and a beautiful coffee table book on the art of automobile advertising. I hope the latter counts as a book read also.
