Tempest Inman (b. ca. 1894) painted portraits of many celebrities of the day, including Rudolph Valentino, Shirley Temple, and Jean Harlow. The portraits appeared on the covers of magazines such as Photo Book, Photoplay, and The Saturday Evening Post. Inman painted four covers for the Post in 1932 and 1933, all featuring glamorous women.
