Carl Alan is a Canadian journalist. His first published short story appeared in 1994 in the iconic Canadian Forum magazine. In 2015, his fiction writing earned an Ontario Arts Council grant. The first book he ever read (without being told he had to) was One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest.” He lives with his family near Thunder Bay, Ontario, on Lake Superior’s ruggedly beautiful north shore. When he’s not writing, he can sometimes be found out in a canoe.
