Caroline Frost earned a Master of Professional Writing degree from the University of Southern California, later returning to school to study psychotherapy. She was a licensed marriage and family therapist for ten years, and wrote, quietly, all the while. Her first novel, Shadows of Pecan Hollow, was released in 2022, and her second, Murder Ballad — set in the country music scene of 1977 Nashville — is due out in late 2024. “Beast of Argento” — based on a campfire story she heard as a child — is her first published short story.
