David S. Chang grew up in central Indiana, went to medical school in Louisville, and completed a radiation oncology residency in Indianapolis. As a Taiwanese-American, he never liked cold weather and eventually moved south to Louisiana. Dr. Chang currently lives in Lake Charles with his wife Claire and three cats. He enjoys reading and writing, boardgames, tabletop RPGs, and other nerdy pursuits. He is the first author of the textbook Basic Radiotherapy Physics and Biology and also writes science fiction for fun.
