Jacqueline Guidry’s stories have appeared in Carve Magazine, Nimrod, South Carolina Review, Southampton Review, Tahoma Literary Review, and elsewhere. In 2020, her short story collection Visions, Stories was a finalist in Press 53’s competition and, in 2021, was one of ten manuscripts long-listed for the Porter Prize by Regal House. Her novel The Year the Colored Sisters Came to Town (Welcome Rain) was selected for the PEN/Faulkner Writers in Schools program and as the community read in Kansas City, Missouri, and Windsor, Connecticut.
