Jeffrey DeVries lives in northwest Indiana, where fact frequently proves stranger than fiction. He teaches high school English and journalism. His stories have appeared in The Rappahannock Review, the Roanoke Review, Inkwell, River River, and The Other Side. His story “Quiet Waters” won the ACP Award for Excellence in Fiction in 2003.
