John Kernow (a pseudonym) was born at Camborne in the west of Cornwall. His family emigrated from there to Australia when he was a child. John is married with three adult children. He lives in Townsville, Queensland, with Carol his wife of over 50 years, and a superannuated and possibly psychotic cat.

John is the author of several works of humor, although The Haunting of Gaspard Feeblebunny is his first published work. He works predominantly in the humor genre on the principle that life is miserable enough without having to read the sort of “sack cloth and ashes novels” popular these days and that almost without exception have the reader either descending into the depths of despair or contemplating joining a cult.
