Back to “Somewhat” Normal

In January, we attended the Atlanta International Gift & Home Furnishings Market, the first time since the pandemic broke out. Returning to the show brought mixed feelings.

It was wonderful to walk the show, look for trend based ideas and especially to see our licensees (those that were there) and their product launches. At the same time, it was certainly a different show, with lots of closed off showrooms, missing companies and reduced traffic. Still, we made the best of it and were happy to be back. We noticed some looks and color combinations are sticking around.

Lemons and yellows which were first popular pre-pandemic, were out in force. Yellows were combined with fresh spring greens and lavender-toned blues, for a very uplifting color palate.

Among the Christmas looks, gnomes are still very popular. Virtually every holiday showroom had them in their line. Fungi were also everywhere, not just as part of holiday looks, but also every day.

At this show, our licensee Ganz released their “Happy Hour” holiday collection which includes ornaments, glasses, appetizer plates, pillows and other holiday home décor products based on Curtis images. The products feature cocktail-related Santa and Snowmen images which we developed at Ganz’s request. The entire line looked fantastic and we could not be happier with Ganz’s execution!

Our licensee Raz also had some new holiday products on display. Among them, wall décor, ornaments and festive garlands! As is usually the case, our artwork is peppered throughout several of Raz’s collections. Here were some of our favorites from the show.

Last, but certainly not least, Godinger added some new wonderful tabletop lines to their offering based on various Santa and winter-themed images for holiday and posh gold skin textures for everyday use. Godinger has released many products in the past featuring our images, and they never disappoint!

Hard to believe, but spring is around the corner! Our design team has been hard at work creating new looks including ethereal, soft colored tranquil landscapes featuring idyllic cottage images. We have also re-worked and created new nautical designs, featuring among other things, elegant coastal birds which are an evergreen popular theme at the Atlanta show. We have also developed some new Easter based art and are working on updated summer collections…more to come on those!

Since we are on full-on design mode, this would be the perfect time to send us your requests for new art or even request updates and customizations to existing art! As always, we look forward to helping you with all your art needs, so please let us know how we can help.
