In Full Spring Swing!

Chicago Housewares

It seems like we blinked and all of a sudden it is April! March may have rushed by, but it was a very productive month for the Curtis team. Early in the month, we attended the Housewares show in Chicago. This is always a good show for us as we can easily drive up from our Indianapolis office and see several licensees and companies we work with. This year’s show was a good confirmation of the trends we saw in Atlanta in January (botanicals, citrus, luxe colors, softer-water color treatments).

New Artwork!

This month has also been full of artwork requests ranging from travel poster art, to space, to new and fresh spring themes. As a result, our designers have been creating concepts non-stop. We are hopeful this new art will translate to new programs and look forward to sharing it with you in the upcoming weeks.

2019 Licensing Show

March also means Licensing Show is only a couple of months away! This year’s show is in early June, so Nicole and Cris have already started making updates to our booth and including some of our great new collections on our displays. If you are planning to attend Licensing Show, please make a point to stop by our Booth L214. You will be amazed at some of our new images and may not even believe they came from The Saturday Evening Post!

March Licensee Spotlight:

Calendar Holdings

With over 6,000 varieties of calendars sold on their website,, Calendar Holdings has established themselves as a leader in the industry and the go-to website for everyone’s calendar needs. In addition to calendars, the company also offers a large selection of games, toys, puzzles and gifts featuring all kinds of licensed images including a variety of our retro illustrations. We are now thrilled to announce that they will soon be launching a line of puzzles featuring artwork by Mort Künstler.  We have very much enjoyed working with Calendar Holdings these past few years on programs featuring our Norman Rockwell and retro art and can’t wait to see these new products featuring Künstler’s richly illustrative historical works!

As we move into April we know a lot of you will be having client presentations. If that is the case, please let us know if you have any special requests or need new art! As always, you can reach us at (317) 634-1100.
