I love the cartoons, it’s so nice to journey back and remember a simpler and more innocent time in America…
Who’d have ever thunk we’d be where we are today..?
Well, these cartoons are just so special, aren’t they? On number 5 down (by Taber) I almost thought he was going to say “…And now a few words regarding our sponsor above; He needs more money—today …” Number 6 (by Jerry Marcus) is just so wrong. Stealing the collection basket right there, in church? In 1961?! Lord forgive him, but not just yet. The humiliation of being busted and embarrassed should be enough punishment, one would think.
However, 10 Hail Mary’s, 11 Our Father’s, plus a larceny arrest with a stiff fine may be just what the church lady ordered. He could be under the influence of… SATAN! Otherwise, go my faithful flock, with a lesson learned. Amen.
