Tanya Roth earned her Ph.D. at Washington University in St. Louis, where she studied women's history, U.S. history, and world history. She loves teaching high school history at an independent K-12 school in St. Louis, Missouri, because there's always something new and exciting to learn about the past. Tanya lives with her husband and son in the greater St. Louis area; her book, Her Cold War: Women in the U.S. Military, 1945-1980, was published by UNC Press in September 2021.
