The Cinerama Dome Is Coming Back Too
A while back I told you that the iconic Cinerama Dome in Hollywood had closed during the pandemic. It looked like it would never reopen, but now it will!
And So Are Certs!
I was watching an old episode of The Price is Right – Bob Barker era, around 1984 – and one of the products used was Certs. I loved Certs! I did a search online to see if they were still made as I haven’t seen them anywhere in years. The were discontinued in 2013…but now they’re back!
They no longer have “retsyn” though. Now they’re called “flavor crystals.”

RIP Chuck Russell, Charles Gaines, Danny Bravo, Margo Howard, John Dvorak, Kent Broadhurst, Hope Clarke, and Ralph Hemecker
Chuck Russell directed such films as The Mask, the remake of The Blob, A Nightmare on Elm Street 3, Eraser, and The Scorpion King. He died last week at the age of 74.
Charles Gaines wrote the book and the movie version of Pumping Iron, which helped make Arnold Schwarzenegger famous. He also co-created paintball. He died last week at the age of 84.
Danny Bravo was the voice of Hadji on Jonny Quest. He died last October at the age of 77.
Margo Howard wrote the “Dear Prudence” advice column and wrote for various magazines. She also wrote several books, including a memoir and a book about her mother, Ann Landers. She died earlier this month at the age of 86.
John Dvorak was a veteran technology journalist and podcaster. He died last week at the age of 80.
Kent Broadhurst appeared in such films as Silver Bullet, The Verdict, and Silkwood and TV shows like Kennedy, Law & Order, and Babylon 5. He was also a writer and painter. He died in May at the age of 86.
Hope Clarke was a dancer, choreographer, and actress. She died last week at the age of 85.
Ralph Hemecker directed many TV shows, including Blue Bloods, The X-Files, The Flash, Once Upon a Time, Renegade, and Silk Stalkings, as well as several TV movies. He died earlier this month at the age of 65.
