Edmund Davenport was an artist who illustrated three covers for The Saturday Evening Post. He was also known for his advertising and poster work, including a set of window cards for Sweet-Orr overalls and illustrations for Syracuse china and Stutz automobiles. Davenport was a member of the Art Students League. He also studied and traveled with Norman Rockwell in Europe, after they bumped into each other in Paris.
