Harry C. Edwards (1868-1922) painted many scenes of the American West, including native Americans, prospectors, and wildlife. His first illustration that appeared on the cover of The Saturday Evening Post – one of the first Post covers to feature an illustration — was a black and white engraving featuring a man and woman in a peat field in Scotland.
