Alison Louise Hubbard has a long career as a musical theatre lyricist, for which she has won two Richard Rogers Awards from the American Academy of Arts and Letters and the Kleban Award for Lyrics. She is a long-time member of the BMI Lehman Engel Musical Theatre Workshop. She studied writing at New York University and the New School, and she won the Slippery Elm Literary Journal 2021 Prose Contest with her short story “Belladonna.”
