Alysha Black is a writer, teacher, and house fixer-upper in St. Louis, Missouri. Her short stories have appeared recently in Iron Horse Literary Review and failbetter. She won the Paul Thiel Scholarship in Creative Writing, second prize in the Mary Troy Fiction Competition, and a fellowship from the New York State Summer Writers Institute. She received her MFA in Creative Writing from the University of Missouri-St. Louis.
