Gillian Kendall has lived in both hemispheres, five countries, and seven U.S. states, and is currently living in Northern California. She occasionally teaches college English on board U.S. Coast Guard cutters, most recently in Antarctica. When not travelling, she enjoys cooking and gardening for and with her cohousing community, FrogSong. She also knits badly, reads novels avidly, and reviews travel narratives for Perceptive Travel. Her newest book is a memoir about working in Melbourne: Notes from the Strangers’ Corridor: A story of editing, insomnia, and minor mental illness, from Australian Scholarly Publishing, Melbourne.
