Louis L'Amour was a prolific writer of poetry, short stories, and non-fiction, but he is best known for his Western novels. Some of his most popular include The Quick and the Dead, Hondo, and the Sackett Family series. Several of his stories appeared in the Post, including "Booty for a Bad Man."
