Marcus Berkemeier grew up near Greensburg, Indiana, but now lives in Los Angeles. He studied writing at UCLA, has a Bachelor of Arts from Indiana University, and a law degree from George Washington University. In 2016 he was named a West Hollywood writing scholar by the City of West Hollywood, California and PEN Center USA, as part of PEN’s Emerging Voices program. His short stories have appeared in the Adelaide Literary Magazine, Avalon Literary Review, Halcyone Literary Review, Pennsylvania Literary Journal, Ink Monkey Magazine, Inwood Indiana, and the Bombay Review anthology distributed worldwide.
