Patricia Perry Donovan majored in journalism in college, then worked as a writer and editor throughout her career. But she always wanted to try her hand at fiction and, on a lark, enrolled in a fiction writing class in New York City in 2011. Her work has appeared at The Bookends Review, Flash Fiction, Hippocampus, and Gravel, among other literary journals. She is the author of two published novels, Deliver Her and At Wave’s End, and is currently shopping her third, In Her Best Interest. Her story “Don’t Have to Be Crying” was third runner-up in the 2020 Great American Fiction Contest. For more, visit patriciaperrydonovan.com.
