Shyla DeLand lives and writes in the foothills of the Adirondack Mountains. She spends her time with the loves of her life: Fargo, an inherited Missouri Fox Trotter horse; Evelyn, an adopted miniature horse; and Samson, a rescued Walker hound. When she's not busy writing or playing with her animals, she is running, cooking vegan food, or talking to her mother. Her poetry and short fiction have been published in Stone Soup and Cicada Mag. You can find her at her blog, Two Big Vegans.
