Tom Edmonds is a veteran Republican political media consultant based in Washington, D.C. His firm has received over 100 national awards for its communications strategies on behalf of presidential, senatorial, congressional, and gubernatorial candidates. In 1986, Edmonds was one of a small group of political consultants who lent their support to the creation of the Graduate School of Political Management at George Washington University in Washington, D.C. A past president of both the International Association of Political Consultants and the American Association of Political Consultants, Edmonds received the AAPC’s prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award in 2005. Edmonds has spoken on the impact of American style political campaigns on democracies in numerous venues around the world including Austria, France and, most recently, Oxford University’s Rothermere Institute of American Studies. Edmonds is the author of two books on politics and public policy and has produced a number of documentaries including the official video biography of President Ronald Reagan.
