  1. Remember also when the little league umpire asked if Becky was Elden’s daughter. He said yes, and the umpire said she was the best pitcher in the league.

  2. I admire and enjoy Norman Rockwell are. I have the policeman talking to the runaway on my wall, Reminds me of Rebecca about that age, Packing a few things, walking to the mailbox and standing there for a short time. Came back in and responded to my question as to why she did not leave, “I did not know which way to go.”

We also have Grandma in a crowded cafe praying with her grandson while a lot of young me watch in amazement.

Then there is the same girl as the above, sitting outside the principal’s office, smiling in victory with 2 black eyes awaiting her turn to tell her story.

  3. HOW WELL I REMEMBER THE MID 1940’S. THE WAR WAS OVER AND WE THOUGHT THE CHICAGO CUBS COULD POSSIBLY WIN THE CHAMPIONSHIP. I ATTENDED TWENTY SIX GAMES AND THEY WON TWENTY FIVE. I STILL THINK I SHOULD HAVE GOTTEN A SEASON TICKET. IT TOOK SIXTY YEARS; BUT, OUR HOPES WERE FINALLY FULFILLED. ALL A PERSON HAS TO DO IS LIVE LONG ENOUGH AND IT WILL HAPPEN!
