5-Minute Fitness: Work Out While You Wait

We stand in line a lot — at the bank, at the store, at the airport. Here are two quick exercises to make that time count.

SUPPORT THE POST

Standing calf stretch

1 Stand with feet hip-width apart.

2 Step right food forward.

3 Flex right foot and point toes up.

4 Hold for 10-15 seconds.

5 Repeat on other side.

Glute squeezes

1 Stand with feet hip-width apart.

2 Squeeze glute muscles as tightly as possible.

3 Hold for 3-5 seconds.

4 Repeat 2-3 times.
