Dr. Scott C. Spencer teaches social studies (history and economics) at Winchester High School, Massachusetts. He received his Ph.D. in British Imperial history from the University of Virginia and is the author of Realizing Greater Britain: The South African Constabulary and the Imperial Imposition of the Modern State, 1900-1914. His current research interests are seventeenth-century New England Native American-European relations, emigration, and family history. When not teaching and researching, he enjoys spending time with family, hiking, and travelling.
